My studies in animation and film at San Antonio College combined with my studies of more traditional media at Texas State University have left me with an interest in art of many forms. More so, I am interested in how art functions in society and how that relates to life. I believe everyone should be involved with art; after all we all have something to say. I want to set up scenarios for people to engage; habitats for creativity. Thus, along with the help from fellow artist, Chris Day, we have created The Edge of Imagination Station. This is a do-it-yourself stop motion animation table with three work stations. (This is where you come in); patrons of an event are able to create their own stop motion sequence using chalk drawings, paper cut-outs, printed images, and any other object from one’s environment, using the cameras provided. The files are then gathered and later processed into a video that can be viewed on line. The first video from the station can be viewed below. Let’s get the conversation started!…MAKE ART NOW!
